AdButler is the ad tech infrastructure for the internet, providing businesses with the tools to power their digital advertising operations. From startups to large enterprises, thousands of companies rely on AdButler’s advanced software and APIs to streamline ad management, optimize performance, and drive revenue across digital platforms.
AdButler carved out a solid position in the market — entirely bootstrapped and privately funded from day one. With no outside investors, they’ve stayed focused on what matters most: delivering real value to their clients.
The introduction of a new pricing model with add-ons highlighted the need to reframe AdButler’s offering — evolving from one all-in-one product into multiple, clearly defined solutions tailored to different client needs. That’s where we came in — to help shape, design, and communicate this new product structure.
With outdated UX and rigid mental models, the original product couldn’t scale — or adapt to the new multi-product vision. We led a full redesign to unlock a more flexible, user-focused experience that meets the needs of clients like Costco.
As the product suite expanded, we introduced a smart upselling framework — presenting gated features in a way that feels natural, non-intrusive, and designed to spark curiosity and conversion.
From promise to performance — AdButler continues to meet the high standards of enterprise publishers, with clients like Gannett, H-E-B, and Costco choosing them for the long run.
The final piece? A modular design system built for versatility — ready to adapt to different products, user needs, and future iterations.

Every great redesign starts with solid research. When we began working on the project, it quickly became clear that marginal improvements wouldn’t be enough — the app needed a major overhaul to meaningfully elevate the user experience.
We identified several key UX issues, including outdated interaction patterns — like input labels placed in front of input fields — which made the interface feel clunky and unintuitive by modern standards.
Before & After
Left: the legacy interface.
Right: our redesigned version, shaped by research, real user needs, and a future-facing design system.
Large enterprises demand more — especially from the tools that directly impact their revenue. Unfortunately, the existing app struggled to keep up.
Managing multiple sites meant navigating through deep, cluttered tree-structured menus. Opening large campaigns with hundreds of ads led to frustratingly long loading times — turning basic tasks into slow, inefficient processes.
We proposed targeted improvements, many of which are already in use and loved by users. Features like a Google-like search experience and an AI-powered chat assistant now allow users to ask complete questions and get clear, instant answers — reducing friction and boosting productivity.
AdButler’s AI-powered retail media platform is more than just a product — it’s setting the pace for where the industry is headed, and redefining what publishers should expect from modern ad tech.
What started as a design partnership quickly evolved into something bigger. We not only delivered a scalable, enterprise-grade UI — we actively contributed to sales pitches and strategy, helping AdButler open doors and secure big-name clients.
Reporting, analytics, and forecasting are critical components of any successful advertising program.
We made it incredibly simple for users to build dashboards tailored to their specific needs — no complexity, just clarity.
What used to take minutes, now takes seconds.
We introduced an all-new campaign structure that reflects modern advertising workflows — including features like ad sets within campaigns — enabling more streamlined management and unlocking new ways of working with campaigns.
We helped build a self-serve portal that doesn’t just function — it sells. Designed to be easily deployed and customized, it empowers enterprise publishers to unlock new revenue streams with minimal lift.
Today, the self-serve marketplace powers billions in ad transactions — used daily by enterprise clients operating at massive scale.
Here are a few examples of how we adapted the UI to match different brand guidelines — ensuring the portal looked and felt like a native part of each client’s product ecosystem.
